Our founder played Division 1 basketball. He was uncommon—years of competition and academics forged rare skills that would define his career. That wasn't the end of his story—it was the beginning.

Over nearly 20 years, he built a successful career in financial services, specializing in risk and compliance. Today, he serves as an executive at a PE-backed company spanning financial services, technology, and healthcare technology.

Why I Built This

I remember that transition vividly. I had uncommon skills—discipline, resilience, the ability to perform under pressure—but no language to put them on a resume. No way to show employers what made me uncommon.

I figured it out eventually. I made the transition. But it was harder than it needed to be.

I built Uncommon Athlete so no athlete ever feels invisible again. Every uncommon athlete deserves to be seen—and employers deserve to see them.
